March of Dimes Benefit

Wednesday, Apr 19th, 2006

Hello...Hello! It's been a long time since I've checked in. Better late than never I guess. After the show last night, I felt like saying a few things. We did the March of Dimes Benefit at Woody's Tavern, which was actually a Tribute to Cindy Walker. Before I go any further, BIG thanks to Austin and Ray for the invite to play. We had a great time. Eric and I opened the show, along with Mike McCarthy...we just did a little acoustic thing. The cool part, was what came afterwards. Tons of great music! To describe it all would take a while...and if you know me at all, you know I'm not the long winded type. The highlight for me though, was listening to Tommy Allsup (of Buddy Holly and Bob Wills fame) talk about Cindy Walker and play some of her songs. Damn that was cool! Also great, was running into an old friend that I hadn't seen since working on "There and Back Again". Amanda...thanks again for gettin' up and singin' with me. Room for Two is so much better when you're backin' me up.
Well, we'll be heading back up Dallas way this weekend. Hope to see ya' soon.

Well friends, "Get Stoned With Me" is now on the radio in San Antonio, TX! Big thanks to D.J. Hank Moon at 92.5 The Outlaw for spinning that one! Ya'll keep up the requests, it's working. I saw where Harley is currently mentioned on the front page of Hank's website www.hankmoon.com! If you are in or around the Metroplex, be sure to holler at Justin Frazell at 99.5 The Wolf. He requested a copy of the CD and now has it. Let's get it spinning in the DFW area! Thanx for all the support. Ya'll mean the world to us! - Scott

If a man be judged...

Tuesday, Jan 24th, 2006

If a man be judged by the friends he keeps....I would have to say that I am a lucky son of a gun. This has got to be the best group of guys with whom I have ever played. My fingers hurt. My head hurts. I'm deaf in one ear. But the show goes on. And it continues to do so.

We started off in Fredericksburg at the South Star Dancehall. What a nice venue. Renovations have done that place justice. That was just a good show. Great time. They've done a great job with that location.

Private function on Canyon Lake followed. Happy B-Day Courtney. You have the coolest name in Rock and Roll. We hope that the evening was everything you'd dreampt it would be. We'll see ya as soon as ya'll can get out to a show. Don't make us wait!

As for the rest of the hum-haw, well, it was nice to plug in to the amps and stretch out our legs a little bit this weekend. I'm guessing we'll do that a little more often.

Ya'll keep hounding the radio...whatever you are doing is working! www.hankmoon.com Request "Mercy On Me" by Harley Dean! www.925theoutlaw.com

Quote of the weekend: "Nope, the wheels are locked. I won't roll down the stairs."

There were others, but I can't post 'em.

Blessed Peace......Scott on behalf of HD.......more at ten as this story developes. I'm a lucky son of a gun. These guys rock.

Bears, Bacon, and the Caprock

Bears and Bacon.....where do I begin?

Lubbock is a long way from the towns in which Harley, George, Eric, and I reside. We rolled into the van early Saturday morning and headed to pick up Eric at some happy medium between our town, his town, and Lubbock......what a ride. George has a funny story for every town...litterally...and I mean they are funny! Long story short, we passed four of the biggest, intimate, ceramic bears I have ever seen in my life on the interstate. Some kind of carney ride going west bound I suppose. But yes, the bears were very affectionate towards one another. We made Lubbock a few hours later, finally.

Great crowd....loud crowd.....friendly crowd. We were treated very well. Great jam with a long drive home on Sunday morning. Parting thoughts....Lubbock is cold compared to where I live, but Texas Tech students are an awesome crowd! Thanks for making it a great night for us.

Thanks to all of you for requesting "Mercy On Me" on 92.5 The Outlaw. It's spinning everyday now, multiple times. Keep it up, words cannot explain our gratitude.

Quote of the weekend: Harley to George onstage about Eric..."He's like bacon. He makes everything better." I concur.

Pax, Scott

My two cents....

Wednesday, Jan 11th, 2006

Hey Ya'll......

Just a quick entry here from your favorite bass player. I thought I would hijack the site for a 'sec while our fearless frontman is in another time zone ;-) Wanted to send a shout to Hank Moon at 92.5 The Outlaw in San Antonio, TX for putting the first single, "Mercy On Me," into rotation. If you arent in the area you can stream the station online at www.925krpt.com./main.html . Do us a favor and hit this site if ya will www.hankmoon.com That will take you right to a request page and you can request the track or any other artist for that matter. Just wanted to say thanx for all the support you have given us and we will keep on keepin' on. Next stop is Lubbock, TX this weekend. That's a long way from home but we're looking forward to it. Watch the schedule, we'll be in your neck of the woods soon!

Pax, Scott

GLOG

Sunday, Dec 4th, 2005

A Trailer House Missile...No really, it was a trailer house in the exact shape and size of somethin' straight out of NASA. And more welds than I've ever seen in one place. An empty fish pond where the band set up. These are all the things we got to see on Munger St. this weekend. The Orange Show was quite possibly the coolest place we've ever played. And Glog...In between the sets they brewed up some adult libation I've never heard of...somethin' to the tune of everclear, 151, red wine, and countless other things...orange peels, spices, marshmallows. All I know is they mixed it all together, set it on fire and then gave everybody free shots of the stuff. I heard somebody in the crowd say "it tastes like Christmas." Glog...all I can say, is that it warms my insides.
'til next time...Hd

Welcome To My New Web Site

Wednesday, Nov 30th, 2005

Well, here it is. Got the new website fired up. Thanks for your patience while we were gettin' her put together. Still got some minor tweaks...gotta get Erics info up there...but we'll get it all wrapped up real soon. Hope you enjoy it! Gettin' ready for the shows this weekend in Houston. That ought to be a great time...always like goin' to the Houston area. Bleu is playin' over in San Antonio tonight...gonna go enjoy a few cold Lone Stars and maybe even play a tune or two. Maybe we'll see ya' there.
Adios....Hd
